Our startup addresses the urgent need for sustainable alternatives to plastic plant pots, which are widely used but environmentally harmful. Traditional plastic pots, made from fossil fuels, contribute to long-term plastic pollution, are non-biodegradable, and often leach toxins into soil and water. These issues are increasingly at odds with the growing eco-conscious values of today’s consumers.

Despite rising environmental awareness, the market lacks accessible, attractive, and truly biodegradable alternatives that also support ethical production and community upliftment. Most available options are either too expensive, aesthetically generic, or industrially compostable only, failing to meet the everyday user’s needs.

At the same time, communities like Assam’s tea garden workers and artisans remain underutilised in the sustainable product supply chain, despite possessing rich cultural skills and proximity to natural resources.
